Wieland Meinhold was born in 1961 and studied in Weimar, Budapest and Berlin. From 1985 to 2000 he was organist of the St. Mary’s Church in Mühlhausen/Thuringia, arranging an International Concert Series in which soloists from more than 40 countries took part. He has appeared as a visiting guest in some 2000 events around the world and recorded 12 CDs. He received his doctorate in 1999. As from autumn 2001, he was appointed University-organist of the University in Erfurt, combining 30 annual performances with the organisation Concert Series and the University Night Concerts.
